Most unusually for a man who got to the top of a FTSE100 company, Richard was an amazing listener. He was tough on himself when on the tennis court or the golf course but never tough on anyone else. I could listen to his stories all night ("alright Ron, alright Reg"). He had the wisdom and intelligence to know the right thing to do and he had the integrity to then do it. We will always love him and be grateful that he was in our lives. xxx

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
